Cheboygan Michigan Cabin

by Banjoe

This log cabin in Cheboygan Michigan was built in the mid 1800?s and is one of three remaining cabins left when the Cheboygan County Sheriff sent deputies in 1900 to foreclose on property for unpaid taxes. The cabins were part of a Native American village on Burt Lake built in the late 1800?s.

The cabin is now part of the Cheboygan History Center which has collected over 9,000 artifacts from the last 150 years of Cheboygan's history and holds summer camps for children that show them what it was like to live long ago.
