Building a Log Cabin from Eucalyptus Grandis

Hi there

How would Eucalyptus Grandis do as a wood for building a log cabin?

It is about the only non-commercial product near me.

Eucalyptus is listed among the Moderately Rot Resistant woods, along with pine. I would like to refer you to a recent question I answered regarding a tree in the Magnolia family called a Loblolly Bay. Check out the tips I gave this other reader concerning the best methods for preserving your cabin. If you follow these, I would guess you will do just fine!
